Gramps, you certainly have one fine looking machine there, as all woodys are. I would to talk to you about this bomber in the future if you don't mind. I guess everything is as original as possible, like Houlios.
Your woman certainly knows & likes quality when she sees it.

Grandpasboy I noticed on the left side of your bomber just below the headlight there looks like some kind of round piece there. Would it be a receptacle of some sort.

It looks like the machine never had much use!!

The round part is the left air intake for the heater/defroster.
When I pulled it out for the first ride for the year, the milage read 444.

Awesome!  Is that speedometer from factory?  It has a cool looking needle, looks like a bullet.

The gauges look similar to the Stewart Werner style that were in a lot of trucks. They could be bought with chrome or black trim.

This speedometer is made by WALTHAM. My dad was an old railway man of that era and insisted on Waltham pocket watches for accuracy. I have one of these speedo's like new, got it from Darrell McLean,  to put in when I get around to making a new dash. Unfortunately they read at 2x the actual but that can now be corrected by that company in Saskatoon if you want to buy the gear converter. I likely won't bother.

Cranman, I won't get the gearbox to make the speed read correctly.
kpm, I live north central North Dakota.
I like the look of the SW gauges. I drove the bomber to town tonight for a meeting,
one of the people in the meeting noticed a car stop to take pictures of it.

GPS' are easier for accuracy anyway. Maybe leave your's as is for authenticity. Bombadier speedos were always 2x the real speed.
