........breaking the new heavy cleats...is hard to do.one must drive on rocks or very jagged ice i'd guess..as i've yet to break one...or rip a 4 ply track...it is possible ..lots of torque will strecth a track,and one should be aware of this.
Also if you modify..it is best to shore up all the power train and suspension(front to back)..this of course cost money...and I understand as a fishernan you want to make money..not spend it.
For the record I do not race bombardiers,or use any of them to provide for my lively hood.
I have however found that the EXTRA power is the answer for deep snow slush,pulling..it's nice to have when you need it...my gas milage is around 8-10mpg...on hard pack.
