the old trucker:
HERE ARE OLDSLEDZ PICS OF THE RALLY.

O.T. This was the scene on Saturday. I believe we had 53 machines for a 90 km. ride. Perfect riding and the support people were great. They made sure that every road crossing was safe and they made sure that nobody was left if they had any break downs or problems. Oldsledz

the old trucker:
Those air bags are what is called a double convalescent bag like the ones used on older Freightliner trucks & for the lift axle on old tri axle trailers. Neat idea & no you don't have freeze up problems. It's just a matter of doing a bit of preventive maintenance. Thanks Oldsledz, great pics.

                                                                                                   OT.... floating on AIR !!

the old trucker:
I forgot to add that when you plum in the air you add an adjustable valve in line with an air gauge to show what pressure is in the bag. We used to put between 20 - 25 PSI. on the front axle & the cuts that go across the road disappear. Like driving a Caddy !!!  Just my 2 cents worth.

kpm:
...if u were driving in the bush...i doubt the air bags would last,on a trail i'm sure they would be okay, just like the slide suspension ...great if u have snow....not so great if your running on some gravel now and again..juz my thoughts..lol.
