OLDSLEDZ B-7... HERE ON NT.

<< < (3/7) > >>

oldsledz:
There is really nothing the same about the B-7 to the B-12.  The suspension sets on a set of leaf springs and the 3 wheels pivot together like a set of locked tandem wheels. The center wheel is the pivot point so the ride is more of a jerk to the left and to the right.  The front suspension is a vertical mounted coil spring that goes directly down to the ski.  It is a firm ride.

the old trucker:

Marc don't you have a B-7 ?? Do you have any rebuild pics of it ??

the old trucker:

Claude,
Started into the B7 project yesterday. Removed the rear track and suspension and dropped the motor and transmission down to the floor instead of out the back door like a B12. Going to send the motor out for a re-fresh and now I need to take the wiring out, steering column out, and the front suspension.--There is a lot of sand blasting and detailing.

the old trucker:

Well Frank, my friend I see your getting flat out at restoring that B7. And here is what everyone wants to see. Here is another stage of the project.

the old trucker:
Looking good buddy, really good. I see you have her in a different garage than the B-12. It looks like a well laid out & functional place. I like it. It looks like your gathering up a few spare parts as I see 5 sprockets poked away. Is that one of the heads & the crank from the flat head engine? That rack on the wall for the rims gave me an idea. Lastly what size tires are you using ?? Keep us updated.
Hopefully OT can get back in the groove.
