B-12 ROUND WINDOWS
(1/1)
REDRANGER:
I AM STARTING TO AQUIRE PARTS FOR MY RESTORE. WE HAVE THE ROUND WINDOWS ON OUR BUS, CAN THESE BE CUT BY A GLASS GUY OR DO I NEED TO FIND A SOURCE? ALSO HOW MUCH FACTORY BONDO CAN I EXPECT TO FIND? WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PREP FOR PAINT, SANDING/SANDBLASTING? THE WIRING HARNESS IN OUR RIG IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE BUT STILL OLD ARE MOST PEOPLE REBUILING THE HARNESS FROM SCRATCH? ANY ADVICE WELCOME. THANKS, BOB
Swamp Dawg:
I think on the body you will find a lot of lead and bondo if I'm not mistaken. The rigs I've seen have quite a bit, even in original condition.
bigfish:
You can defineately get a glass shop to cut them, the only differance from the originals is that they were tempered glass and not the new type safety glass.
Good luck on your restore.
Cranman:
My early 1953 has lead instead of bondo but I think it's all bondo after that and from what I've seen the newer the machine the more bondo they used. Good luck on the rebuild.
