Title: FOREST FIRE@CRANBERRY PORTAGE

I'm hoping all my friends at Cranberry are making out okay.....if anyone needs to store there bombardier ..or other possesions...I  do have a fair amount of space here..at The Pas...feel free to call 623 7611

   That's pretty thoughtful of you KPM. I hear that's a pretty big fire. I was looking at it on the computer this morning. I hope & pray that everyone will be safe.

    Anybody got an update of how the fire around Cranberry is doing ??

my understanding is that it's moving towards bakers narrows which is west of cranberry,the news stated that the fire is 53 thousand hecters....we are recieving good rain here at THE PAS ..so probably getting the same at Csanberry..

  Thank God for the rain. KPM did you hear of any houses or cabins lost in the fire ??

well they did not recieve the rain we did...i've heard that a few cabins have been lost...i'm not sure how many,the ones i've heard of are at peterson lake..and optik..

I'm told these pictures are from Second Cranberry Lake.  And the pictures from the air are from a Pilot friend that took them somewhere else on the same fire.  Had lots of rain last night, should put the damper on the fire for a day or so.

Those are great pictures.  I have never seen anything close to that in the middle of the prairies.  It's funny how devastating it is yet it's mesmerizing.
