« on: March 26, 2007, 07:03:41 pm »
 Just wondering what are the differences between R-12, R-18, R-15, B-7, B-12c, B-12cs, & C-18.

Rackoholic,
I looked in the "Maintenance Manual and Spare Parts List" I have and there is a paragraph on page 7 that states:

"The vehicle code number B-12CS is a code set up to a positive identification of the vehicle.  This particular code represents the following: B means Bombardier.  12 means 12 passengers, the capacity of the vehicle, C means it is powered by a Chrysler motor, S means the model is special."

Regards,

Rackoholic,
To the best of my knowledge, the "R" designation was for models that had interchangeable wheels and skis.  The "C" designation was used for the "C-18" which was an expanded version of the B-12 model, that seated 18 people.

I was told that the differences between a B-12 C and a B-12 CS are as follows:

B-12 C                              B-12 CS

Chrysler T-112, 85 HP      Chrysler T-120, 100 HP (the special is for engine)        Engine
Center of wheels 38"       Center of wheels 41"                                                   Width
Width 13" 1/4                   Width 17" 1/2                                                              Tracks
